I like rice krispie treats, I like PB&J, so I'm thinking I'd like those.

You should get your friend to bake a bunch before shows and throw them out to the crowd.. then people would fight over them and stuff like that. It'd be a pretty funny site to see...

wow...comments. cool.

so basically, my friend and I have come to the agreement that pb&j sushi is the most kickass thing we've never heard about (until now). we'll definitely have to attempt making it ourselves. uncrustables are still the shit, though.

this blog is really cute. thanks for sharing the finer parts of your life with us.

miss you guys!

No offense, I'm sure they taste great (how they could they not pb&jand rice krispies...) but they look like something a surgeon cut open to show the effects of smoking on the brain....

Kind of gross looking, but I'd eat that.

LOL. I love sushi! And ppj! And rice crispies! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

So that pretty much look like magical sweetness. Two of my favorite things come together? PB&J and sushi only without the fishy after taste. Awesome.

Food is very important.
And when it's "yum", it's even more important.
Not that this makes sense, but hej, what does?

Those look just awesome! What a great idea

Anonymous said...

Hahaha Pete. Those look... amazing? xD
I shouldn't judge until I've actually tried it, though. Never had sushi... and don't like jelly xP. I'm a peanut butter girl, myself, though. And rice krispies are amazing, of course.

But I do like the name... xD It's so random, it's magnificent.
Rock on with your random self.

Here you go, cutie.

2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 cup brown sugar
6 tbsp butter, melted and cooled
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
approx 1/3 cup jam or jelly (any kind, though jam holds up better, and my weakness is strawberry. )

Preheat oven to 375F and line a muffin tin with paper liners. That's important.
Now get a whisk.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and brown sugar.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, peanut butter, eggs and milk until smooth. Pour into flour mixture and stir until just combined. Doing wet into dry makes it easier to keep from over-stirring the mix, resulting in weapons-grade muffins, not yummy and good ones.
Fill each muffin cup about halfway up with the batter. Add a heaping teaspoon of jam and cover then cover it with the remaining batter. Each muffin cup (of a standard 12-cup muffin tin) should be filled to the top.
Bake for 17-20 minutes, until a tester toothpick comes out clean and the top of the muffin springs back when lightly pressed.
Cool on a wire rack. You can eat them warm but I think they're much better later, with a glass of milk and some cartoons.

Slow down, pandapanda.

Mmm... Looks good, I am a huge fan of peanut butter and jelly. Though I can't say i've ever had p&j sushi or sushi at all... Raw fish kinda turns me off. I used to have this thing where I would cut the crusts off bread, smother it in p&j, roll it up, dip it in whisked egg and throw it on the frypan. Mmm... perfection!

I put twizzlers inside and fruit rollups on the outside.
Just incase you want that extra sugary kick.

If you get a cramp in your jaw don't blame it on me.
