Just get a professional to build a fancy tree house for you and you would basically have the same thing

You're randomly trolling the internet for pics for us to comment about, huh?

I think you are. ALthough this is cool, so if you want my opinion about it, there you go.

Substance now?

I would definitely split the rent with you on this one! Serenity!

Ever since my cousin pushed me out of our tree house when I was six, resulting in a broken arm, I've had a morbid fear of tree houses...and really tall trees for that matter.

Boo. He stole my childhood.

i saw that and it just made so much sense in my mind =)

I always wanted a tree house in my backyard. My brother and I tried to build one when we were little, but my mom & dad wouldn't let us use any tools or nails or screws or anything. so we just had these pieces of wood and put them in a tree to try to make a house out of it. It failed miserably, obviously.

You get one built in your backyard and I'll come stay there when I'm in town. We can play Uno till 4 in the morning in it. It'll be great.

I Know You Just Did the Young Wild Things Tour, But I didnt Know It Got to Your Head. HaHa. I Think You Have To Grow A Long Beard And Wear Ripped Shorts. Then You Must Swing From The Branches, And Then You Can Live There. It Would Be Pretty Sweet. HaHa.

those are the things that i used to dream about as a kid...and still do...

I remember going to Disney Land as a kid, and seeing the Swiss Family Robinson tree house, and thinking to myself, how much simpler life would be if I could live up in the trees. As an adult, I spend as much time in the tree house built for my kids as they do. We swing from the vines across the creek, and climb the steps up the tree. Sometimes it's ok, to just want simple. Sometimes it's ok to just be simple.

If my brother and I had had any good trees when we were kids, we would have had an amazing tree house. He was a whiz with power tools from the time he was big enough to pick them up.

We probably would have built it out of stuff from architectural salvage yards and other stuff from the dumpsters outside houses under renovation.

On the mighty boosh there was a treehouse made from bus tickets.
I want to live there. (:

I like this... the colors are beautiful in the picture.
It would be pretty sweet to have a house like that, I've never been in a proper tree house before.

planning your life in increments. too many bugs, imagine all the bugspray you would have to use. that place would stink.

It does look pretty.
But I'm not very outdoorsy.

I would love to live there. But I'd be a bit nervous. It might be cut down and made into desk for an owner from some tobacco company. Nobody wants that.

That is so sick. I call one!

Something in the new Panic video??

I wonder where it was taken. I wonder if Pete took it? :)

thats also like my fav tree. so pretty. I just want to touch the leaves. lol

TurnUpTheMusicc said...

i have only been in a tre ehouse once. we started building one when iw as younger, but it never got finished. =[
i TOTALLY would love to live in one too. =D

Anonymous said...

wow do people seriously live in there? because if they do, I am infinitely jealous of them. that's so cool. I've always wanted a tree house. not the platform-with-slide that my parents built me (though it was still pretty cool). I wanna be up in a freaking tree conquering my fear of heights, dammit. haha.

I'm another person who grew up completely fascinated by the Swiss Family Robinson house at Disney World, to the point of wanting to go climb through it again and again until my parents were ready to just leave my ass there so they and my brother could go do some actual rides. So, yeah...I could definitely see living in a fancy tree house.

Love the new blog. xoxo

Remember the movie "Milk Money" Three boys together in their tree-house, trying to decide the purpose of a diaphragm (is it used to stop sperm or cover a bathroom drain?)and plotting to see a nude woman. Pete, is this your tree house? LOL

Anonymous said...

damn it. i do too. this reminds me of the treehouse my brothers and i built when we were little. except, it wasnt way up high. but it was still bad ass. there was this huge dirt hill on the other side, and we covered the entire thing in camo gear. it was amazing. kind of like your ability to find the coolest shit ever. only, us,not as much. if that even makes sense.

Anonymous said...

sweetness....that place is freakin' sweet....i would love to live there and get away from life...

Anonymous said...

I wouldnt mind living there either...

it makes a good hiding place

is that the tree house over at Charles Wilson Park in Torrance ?
shit i'll be moving to that tree house in a couple months but my house i live in now is built like a tree house but it's just rectangle shape. our non sliding glass door dosen't lock..it's like a jungle on the side of the house right where the moon is

Anonymous said...

i would totally buy that house if was you ! Or build your own ! it would be so wicked crazy to live in a tree . Heck i wouldnt use the f-ing ladder ! Put a trampoline below it and away i go . Sadly my luck would run short and i'de prolly fall right through the damn thing. Downside to living in a tree : fighting the birds and squirrels, wind , termites , and heating and cooling. Upside: dont hav 2 worry about dirt , fresh air i s alway a step away

makes me think of a Kate Nash song.

:)

It's gorgeous. It looks like somewhere you could hide away from the world.

Seriously, P, stop taking pictures of my thoughts. I love this.
[To reiterate the already iterated. Redundancy, chyah....]
I've always wanted a house like this because I get real emoshunal and want to be alone with my thoughts, but there's always someone there, lurking. I could be in like,Timbuktu in a cave, in the middle of the woods and there'd be someone peeping over my shoulder. Oh, the horror.
This is lovely, like you.

Anonymous said...

That sounds like absolute fun...!Like the swiss family robinson type thing..One day i wish i could meet you and i know your probably sick of getting all of these stupid things that say wish i could meet you or love you...But its true everyone does!Lol...Same as everyone..

P.S.I have the funniest thing about the concert i came to when u were in D.C....Well actually it sucked for me!

My friend Kasey used to live in a house that was built on a tree.
That shit was badass.
But it burnt now.

Yeah, looks awesome. I've always wanted a treehouse but hey no trees in our backyard (well big ones anyway). So my dad said he would build me one when I was 5 year old but not in a tree. 10 years later and i'm still waiting. Hehehe, my mission in life - to build a treehouse.

Where is it? It's wonderful a world at the top of the world.

Let's build one together. You and me kid. (Or me and you.)
We could even be Huck and Tom.
Only minus the crazy bad guys trying to kill us. . .then again, adventure is nice once in a while.
